With its New Year’s concert New Year – New Music, the renowned Ensemble88 launches the musical year 2026 — bridging baroque splendor and contemporary curiosity. At the heart of the program is the rarely heard triple harp, played with virtuosity by Belgian harpist Lise Vandersmissen.
Baroque solo works for triple harp trace a historical arc, within which new compositions by KL-EX composers Wolfgang Delnui, Paul Pankert, and Christian Klinkenberg unfold their sonic landscapes. Written especially for triple harp, flute, percussion, and violin, these works build a vibrant bridge between past and present.
Performers:
- Lise Vandersmissen (triple harp)
- Anne Davids (flute)
